R. Lee Heath, the founder of LifeBot, is best known as the inventor of defib-pads making possible the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). He also has installed more original EMS telemetry ALS communications and EMS telemedicine systems than any one in the history of the industry beginning in 1974.

That’s almost four decades he has been involved… During this period he worked with Harve Hanish, founder of Biocom of Santa Monica, California on deployment of the first telemetry consoles and BioPhones for the whole North Shore of Chicago. More than 40 BioPhones and 10 consoles were initially deployed in the St. Francis EMS system. R. Lee Heath also assisted in deployment of Biocom systems at the Loyola University Hospital system in Maywood, Illinois.

Later, Mr. Heath would deploy hundreds of workstations, consoles, cellphones, radios, and telemedicine systems nationally. (see below) In 2010 he founded LifeBot to market his new patented telemedicine and emergency communications systems. No one else in the industry has more experience with these critical communications technologies. LifeBot is marketing these new systems and combining them with advanced telemedicine technologies developed with TATRC (Telemedicine and Technology Research Center) and U.S. Army Materiel Command.

The video at left gives detailed perspective on just how much the technology has advanced in the almost 40 years he has been involved in deployment of these systems. (video from ParamedicTV at ems1.com)
